The Republic of the Philippines is known for its unique blend of Asian, European, and American cultural influences. It is the third-largest English-speaking country in the world and one of the most culturally diverse nations. Notably, the Philippines celebrates two historical milestones of independence, first from Spain on June 12, 1898, and later from the United States on July 4, 1946. However, June 12 has been designated as the official National Day to honor the collective struggle and victory of the Filipino people in gaining their independence.
