The PACC Participated in OECD Working Party on Public Integrity and Anti-Corruption Meeting in Paris, France.
20 November 2025
On 13–14 November 2025, from 09:00 to 18:00 (local time, France), at Meeting Room CC15, OECD Headquarters, Paris, France, Mr. Bhumivisan Kasemsook, Secretary-General of the PACC, participated in the Working Party on Public Integrity and Anti-Corruption (PIAC) meeting of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). This meeting is particularly significant as it is a subsidiary working party under the Public Governance Committee (PGC). The Cabinet has resolved that the PACC, together with the Office of the Public Sector Development Commission (OPDC), will serve as the lead agency responsible for implementing and overseeing initiatives arising from the PGC, with the aim of advancing Thailand’s application for OECD membership in line with government policy.
On this occasion, the Secretary-General of the PACC expressed his views and reported to the meeting on the approaches and efforts to promote public integrity, ranging from policy formulation to policy implementation, in order to enhance transparency in Thailand’s public sector to meet OECD standards. In addition, the Secretary-General held bilateral meetings to report on the progress of compiling and providing supporting information to the OECD for the assessment of Thailand’s Public Integrity Indicators (PIIs). The assessment covers two main areas: (1) the quality of the anti-corruption and integrity strategic framework, and (2) the accountability of public policy-making. Joint plans were also discussed to address the remaining aspects of the PIIs evaluation.
The PACC also served as a co-presenter in initiating the discussion during the breakout session on the topic “Strategic Approaches to Public Integrity Across Levels of Government in OECD Members and Partners.” The session was conducted jointly with representatives from Indonesia and featured contributions from delegates of numerous countries, who shared perspectives and exchanged experiences on developing strategies to strengthen public integrity at all levels of government among OECD member states and partner countries. These exchanges provided valuable insights that will further support the PACC’s ongoing work.
