On 13 December 2025, Pol. Lt. Col. Siripong Sritula, Deputy Secretary-General of the Office of the Public Sector Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC), together with official from Foreign Affairs Division participated in the IAACA Annual Conference held at the Marriott Marquis City Center Doha, Doha, the State of Qatar. The Annual Conference of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (IAACA) brings together anti-corruption agencies from around the world with the objective of enhancing the effective implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC).

This year’s conference was convened under the theme “Integrity for the Future: Innovation, Collaboration and Action against Corruption.” Discussions emphasized the importance of building bridges of international cooperation, highlighting that legal authority alone is insufficient to keep pace with transnational crime and cross-border corruption. The conference underscored the need for trust-based formal and informal networks among officials to enable timely information exchange and effective asset recovery, alongside the application of technology. Key areas of focus included the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics to identify corruption networks, predictive analysis to support proactive investigations, the development of chatbots to facilitate communication and reporting between authorities and the public, and preparedness in addressing emerging challenges posed by cryptocurrencies, which can facilitate the illicit transfer of assets. The conference further stressed the importance of moving beyond awareness to concrete action, in line with obligations under the UNCAC, by mobilizing public participation, fostering integrity values through educational institutions, and working closely with the media to build a sustainable culture of integrity and anti-corruption.

On this occasion, the PACC delegation was also welcomed by the Ambassador of Thailand to Doha and officials of the Royal Thai Embassy. The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on the roles and mandates of the PACC in overseeing and preventing corruption in the public sector, risk management to enhance confidence among foreign investors in Thailand, and avenues for expanding international cooperation to elevate standards of integrity and good governance in Thailand in line with international best practices.
