The PACC held a hands-on workshop entitled “Enhancing Morality and Ethics among Government Officials and the Private Sector in the Prevention of Corruption and Misconduct.”

On Thursday, 25 December 2025, at 9:00 a.m., the Secretary-General of the PACC assigned Mr. Akkchai Kasemsuthawat, Deputy Secretary-General of the PACC, to preside over the opening ceremony of the hands-on workshop entitled “Enhancing Morality and Ethics among Government Officials and the Private Sector in the Prevention of Corruption and Misconduct.” The workshop was organized under the project on Driving a Proactive Surveillance System in Government Agencies for Fiscal Year 2026. On this occasion, Mr. Akkchai delivered a special lecture entitled “Morality and Ethics of State Officials in Relation to Corruption and Misconduct in Thailand,” and led participants in a pledge to uphold the values of good civil servants. The event was attended by more than 120 participants from government agencies and organizations under the Office of the Prime Minister, independent agencies not affiliated with any ministry, department, or bureau, and public organizations. The seminar was held at the Suwit Sakdanont Room, TK Palace Hotel & Convention, Thung Song Hong Subdistrict, Lak Si District, Bangkok.
The seminar was organized by the Division of Corruption Prevention in Public Sector, PACC. Its objectives were to enhance morality and ethics among government officials and the private sector in the prevention of corruption and misconduct; to gather opinions on existing problems, obstacles, and recommendations; and to identify approaches for strengthening morality and ethics among government officials and the private sector in Thailand’s efforts to prevent corruption and misconduct. The seminar also aimed to raise anti-corruption awareness, reshape the mindset of state officials and private sector personnel to clearly distinguish between personal and public interests, and promote integrity and honesty in the performance of duties. The seminar comprised the following activities:
1. A panel discussion on the topic “Integrating the Public and Private Sectors to Strengthen Morality and Ethics in Driving a Corruption-Free Thailand.” The panelists included Associate Professor Dr. Suryadej Tripathi, Director of the Moral Promotion Center; Ms. Atchara Rajit, Director of the Ethics Promotion Center, Office of the Civil Service Commission; Mr. Akkchai Kasemsuthawat, Deputy Secretary-General of the PACC; Mr. Phrommes Benjarongkit, Director of the Thai Private Sector Collective Action Against Corruption (CAC); and Mr. Thiptai Salawong, Senior Researcher at the Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI). The discussion was moderated by Ms. Thipakon Khamkoet, Director of the Government Good Governance Promotion Group.
2. A discussion and brainstorming session entitled “From Problems to Solutions: Approaches to Building Morality and Ethics in the Public and Private Sectors to Prevent Corruption and Misconduct,” which was conducted by speakers from the PACC.
