The PACC conducted a field visit to the That Phanom Special Border Crossing Point to inspect operations and provide encouragement to officers facilitating cross-border travel during the Phra That Phanom Festival 2026.

On 27 January 2026, at 3.00 p.m., Mr. Akkchai Kasemsuthawat, Deputy Secretary-General of the PACC, as Chairperson of the Subcommittee on the Study to Formulate Guidelines for Preventing Corruption and Misconduct by State Officials in Granting Permission for Cross-Border to the Kingdom of Thailand, together with Mr. Jirawat Supap, Director of the PACC Region 4, and members of the Subcommittee, conducted an on-site visit to the That Phanom Special Border Crossing Point in That Phanom District, Nakhon Phanom Province. The visit aimed to inspect operations, provide morale support to frontline officers, and receive firsthand information on challenges, obstacles, and operational issues related to facilitating entry-exit from the Kingdom of Thailand for Thai and Lao nationals during the Phra That Phanom Festival 2026.

The delegation was received by representatives from relevant agencies, including administrative authorities, security agencies, the Royal Thai Police, Customs Department, Excise Department, Mekong Riverine Security Unit (Nakhon Phanom Area), Nakhon Phanom Harbour Department, Central Investigation Bureau, and That Phanom Municipality. These agencies jointly oversee the authorization of cross-border travel and provided briefings, operational explanations, and summaries of their duties and coordination mechanisms.
