Secretary-General of the PACC attended the 78th Independence Day Reception of Sri Lanka

On 23 February 2026, at 06.30 p.m., Mr. Bhumivisan Kasemsook, Secretary-General of the PACC, accompanied by officials from the International Affairs Division, attended the reception celebrating the 78th Anniversary of the Independence of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka which aimed to foster diplomatic relations and strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in the field of anti-corruption, a priority shared by both nations.

On this occasion, the PACC Secretary-General presented a congratulatory floral arrangement to Mr. Sunil Handunnetti, Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development of Sri Lanka and H.E. Mrs. E.A.S. Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Thailand and Permanent Representative to UNESCAP. The event, held at the Regency Hall, Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit,

Sri Lanka gained independence from the United Kingdom in 1948. Thailand and Sri Lanka have long enjoyed a profound diplomatic relationship, deeply rooted in shared cultural values. A significant pillar of this bond is their common Buddhist heritage, which serves as a spiritual foundation for the people of both nations.
